NEVER LET GO

Living life to the fullest
By Amanda Pryor   [written in May 2010]
I have been to a few places and done a few things, but I plan to go to many and do many different things. It seems as though the places I’ve been don’t even compare to where I want to go to and be eventually. I’ve lived in a small town in Nebraska my whole life. But, I know here I’ve learned some of the most important things to know about the world before I actually go into it.
Getting older I became wiser, and responsible. I can remember the first time I experienced a flight on a commercial airline. Not only was it my first time, but I had to do it alone. I was the young age of 13 scared for my life the whole time. When the plane landed I anxiously searched for my sister who was supposed to be there to pick me up. I had to wait, lots of waiting. The waiting almost ended in tears, but I saw her and I ran toward her. The waiting was over and she was there I had the happiness I had before.
I can also remember the day I met the boy of my dreams. When we met we were just kids not knowing what to do. I had a little crush nothing more, I never thought he felt the same way. And after feeling so alone I tried to put that behind me. I moved on, I had many other boyfriends. Until, somehow that boy found his way back into my life and became my best friend. Soon, he became more for a short time. That short time was the best of my life. Even though his parents had to come between us I know I felt that love. But, sometimes we have to feel the broken heart; we all do.
Going on to college will be another new experience. I know there will be ups and downs. But I will never let go of the dreams I have of becoming a pediatric nurse and raising an amazing family with the true man of my dreams. Sometimes I’ll get impatient, sometimes I’ll have to wait, sometimes things will go great, sometimes new things will happen, and sometimes the won’t. But, I am prepared for it all.
I’ve experienced much in my life that will help my future. My life motto is to live life to the fullest with no regrets. I’m excited for the new college life I will experience. But, we never know what life will throw at us, but we can always put on a happy face and hope for the best. That’s what I plan to do when things get rough, I will never regret the decisions I make, I will never give up.
